The advance diagnostic facilities play a key role in the prevention and management of cancer and all other diseases. Recently the Trust Committee had decided to renovate the existing Diagnostic Department of the hospital. The aim is to provide advanced modern high end pathological and radiological diagnostic, therapeutic, and radiation therapy planning at charitable cost.
Radiology Department
The radiology department is well equipped with latest and advanced radio and sonological diagnostic facilities and treatment planning systems. The 16 slice spiral CT scan, Philips High Resolution Ultra Sound Imaging Machine, Color Doppler, Mammography, Orthopentography, Image intensifier unit, 300 MA X Ray Machine and 100 MA portable X Ray machine with automated computerized x ray film development unit, are available in the department. The Radiologist/Sonologist is also available with trained staff. In addition we are now providing MRI Scanning, Dexa Scan, Tread Mill Test, and the Oral Cancer Detection Machine.
Pathology Department
The Pathology Department is having advanced digital diagnostic facilities to meet the need of high end pathological diagnosis of cancer and various other diseases. This department comprises of Histo-Pathology, Cytology, Hematology, Bio-Chemistry, Micro-Biology departments available for 24 hours. The department is having a Lieca made RN1510 Frozen section machine to facilitate the histological slides preparation and section cutting. By this machine intra operative diagnosis can be possible by instant section cutting and slide preparation. The other automated machines like Bio-Chemistry Analyzer, Trace – 30, AVL 9180 Electrolyte, Arterial Blood Gas Analyzer, automated BE coagulator, Nihon Kodon Cell counter, High frequency electron microscope, are available to facilitate the error free diagnostic services. The department is headed by well experienced Pathologist Consultant with the trained Technicians and the staff.
Free Cervical Cancer and Breast Cancer Detection Camps
The hospital is providing facility for detection of Cervical and Breast Cancer detection in the females since last 10 years. This campaign is sponsored by Mr. Suresh Lalchand Sisodiya in the fond memory of Late Mrs. Kamal Suresh Sisodiya and Late Mrs. Suganbai Lalchand Sisodiya and totally free of cost for the poor and needy peoples of the rural and urban villages of the Nashik district. The PAP smear test is done for the detection of cervical cancer and the mammosonography is also done for the detection of the breast cancer. The Trust had provided a mobile van with all the facilities for examination of the females, taking sample for PAP smear. The trained technicians, doctors are employed for this by the Trust. Since last ten years 1,04,344 females from remote rural areas are screened and treated free of cost for Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer.
